The Records Access Office serves as the conduit and compliance unit for access to University records. The Records Access Office oversees all California Public Records Act (See e.g., Gov. Code section 6254 et seq.) and McKee Transparency Act (Cal. Ed. Code section 89914(a)) requests. In addition, they also receive all subpoenas and requests for documents for the University, with the exception of Higher Education Employee Relations Act (HEERA) requests, which are managed by the University Personnel unit.
