I am also a student assistant on campus and tested positive.  Are there different rules for me?

Yes, student employees are the same as full time employees.  Please visit the Employee page for more information about reporting and rules about on coming to work with COVID.

I was exposed to COVID.  What do I do?

There are no requirements to quarantine if you have been exposed to COVID.  You may continue to attend classes and participate in activities on campus.  We do recommend that you wear a mask when indoors and in close contact with others for 5 days after the exposure.  We also recommend regular testing after exposure.  You may use at home antigen tests, which are available through most health care providers and drug and grocery stores.  Treat the development of any symptoms within 5 days of exposure as likely be COVID until you can confirm through testing.  For more information on testing, contact the Student Health Center at (707) 664-2921.

Who should I notify if I've tested positive?

In addition to the Student Health Center, students should complete Voluntary COVID Contact Tracing form if you were on campus within 48 hours of onset of symptoms.

Close contacts are people you have been around (less than 6 feet away for a combined total of 15 minutes or more over a 24-hour period) during the two-day period before you first had symptoms OR if you do not have symptoms, two days before you were tested for COVID-19, through to the time you started isolation. They are at greatest risk of infection and therefore need to be notified as soon as possible. Information on who may be a close contact can be found on the CDC website.

Is it required that I be vaccinated against COVID?

No.  Effective April 2023, the university strongly recommends, but does not require, that students be vaccinated against COVID.  Please contact the Student Health Center or your healthcare provider if you have questions about the COVID vaccine.
